Counseling Services

Capital Region Special Surgery offers all patients and their families access to Counseling Services. Our licensed clinical social worker is experienced in helping individuals to restore balance and a sense of well-being in their lives.

Services Include:

CBT Wellness Workshops for Living With Chronic Pain This group meets for eight, 90 minute workshops. The workshop series is designed to give you the tools necessary to live your life to the fullest despite chronic pain. Each class will focus on a specific topic, accompanied by strategies, discussion, and relaxation exercises.

CBT-I For Insomnia Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) has been endorsed by the National Institutes of Health as an effective and preferred method for treating insomnia. CBT for insomnia includes an initial assessment and 5 individual treatment sessions over a six week period.

Paying for Treatment Capital Region Special Surgery maintains provider relations with most major insurance plans. In addition, a sliding scale is available for those who are uninsured/underinsured and who meet eligibility criteria.
