S t. Peter's Cancer Care Center provides a comprehensive program that begins with prevention and education. They offer both inpatient care at St. Peter's Hospital and outpatient services at the Cancer Center adjacent to the hospital. Their facility provides the most advanced treatment options, diagnostic testing, medical oncology, radiation therapy, and multiple surgical specialties. Their expert team of physicians, surgeons, nurses, therapists, physicists, dosimetrists, administrators and support staff work together every day to meet the needs of patients and their families.


St. Peter's Cancer Care Center is:
 
• Approved as a comprehensive, community-based cancer care program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (since 1988)
 
• Accredited by the American College of Radiation Oncology
 
• A member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers
 
• A Blue Distinction® Center for Complex and Rare Cancers.
 
The Cancer Care Center at St. Peter's Hospital is among the first hospitals in the nation to receive the Blue Distinction® Award for the Treatment of Complex and Rare Cancers. The award places St. Peter's among a number of nationally known cancer care centers, such as the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Roswell Park and Memorial Sloan-Kettering. St. Peter's is the only health care facility in the Capital Region and one of only 84 cancer care centers in the nation to receive the Blue Distinction Award for the Treatment of Complex and Rare Cancers.
