Volunteer Positions
From runner/walker check-in to distributing snacks to helping out along the route, we need lots of energetic volunteers to help our runner/walkers. We offer a fun team atmosphere, snacks, drinks, an official t-shirt and the chance to help make this event a big success.

Volunteer Team Descriptions
Promotional Street Team - Can't volunteer on the day of the event but still want to participate? Be a part of our CRSS Race for Hope Street Team and help us get the word out! Hang posters, send out emails, rent a plane and skywrite. There's really no limit to letting as many people as possible know about this tremendous event.
Set Up - Set up the event site, including tables, chairs, signage and supplies.
Signage (Route) - Marking the route with directional signage.
Greeters - Assist participants by directing them to various locations throughout the event site, directing to participant check in and crowd control.
Check in - Process runners/runner/walkers who are pre-registered and have not picked up their race packets before race day and giving them their time chips, bib numbers and collecting donations.
T-Shirt Distribution - Setting up the t-shirt area. Hand out t-shirts to registered participants.
Volunteer Check in - Check in volunteers, register/assign new volunteers, distribute their volunteer t-shirt and guide them to their shift location.
Course Marshals - Help guide the runner/walkers along 5k course and cheer runner/walkers on as they pass by. We need a lot of these.
Water Stop - Work at course midpoint water stop area prepping, restocking and distributing water to runners/walkers. This duty also includes cleanup and break down boxes and collection of trash bags.
Food and Beverage - Work in runner/walker refreshment area prepping, restocking and distributing water and snacks to runner/walkers. This duty also includes cleanup and break down boxes and collection of trash bags.
Start/Finish - Assist with runner/walker line up prior to the start of the event and cheer on runner/walkers as they return to the finish line. Crowd control is also needed to keep runner/walkers moving into the event site after crossing the finish line.
Team Area - Support runner/walkers by answering questions and directing them to the appropriate team meeting area.
Break Down - Break down event site, including tables, chairs, signage and supplies.
